Excellent color of pale yellow with luminous green tints. Lifted grapefruit and lime zest aromas that are typical of young Semillon. Great line and length with a zippy acid backbone. Slightly richer in style than previous years with lovely citrus pith flavors, a Classic Hunter Valley Semillon to enjoy now or age gracefully.

95 pts - Halliday Wine Companion: “Has a little bit extra to the fruit line. While still speaking to the classic lemon-accented aromas and flavors, there is an extra edge of lemon/passionfruit sorbet. The drinking window will remain open for as long as you wish.”
93 pts - Wine Enthusiast: “This delicate and slightly green-tinged Semillon is made by one of the Hunter’s most renowned estates. Fresh and youthful, it bounces with aromas of fresh flower blossoms, lemon and lime leaf. In the mouth, Semillon’s typically waxy texture and citrus oil notes are tempered by crisp acidity.”
90 pts - Wine Spectator: "Juicy and succulent, with notes of lemon curd, lemongrass, peach and yellow raisin that have a slightly waxy texture and plenty of oomph on the long, expressive finish, where a touch of dried pineapple lingers.'
88 pts - Robert Parker Wine Advocate: “The latest releases from Brokenwood include the brand-new 2019 Semillon. It's a pale, green-inflected straw color in the glass, with herbal scents, plus hints of lime and crushed stone. Light to medium-bodied, expect it to add gravitas over the next few years, but I'd opt for drinking it while young and fresh. Enjoy this dry, citrusy wine with oysters or Little Neck clams on the half shell over the summer months.”
