A really fine example of fully ripe Merlot, this is wine that shows a deep dark ruby color with an elegant ripe and concentrated nose. It also shows very attractive and bold aromas of crushed berries, ripe blackcurrants, blackberry and black cherry, with further hints of liquorice, Havana cigars, gingerbread and chocolate. On the palate the powerful structure of the wine is nicely balanced by the soft tannins and good use of oak that leads to a full, long and persistent finish.
