There’s a cool climate vibe to this wine (thanks to the cooler 2017 vintage). It’s medium bodied and acid driven, with loads of black currant, black berry and licorice flavors. The finish is long, and supple, with plenty of spice to boot.

90 pts - James Suckling.com: “Slightly tarry notes to the nose here with violets, fresh herbs, cedary oak, rose hips and attractive red and blue berries. The palate is quite juicy and has a mid-weight feel with easygoing tannins.”
