The Sticks & Stones is consistently great, year in, year out. The 2014 vintage is no exception. Medium bodied with blue fruits, spice, and a little hint of clove. Waxy, smooth and rounded. It is slightly more on the savory side with vanilla and some residual oak present. Good length, generous and mouth filling.

93 pts/Top 100 - Wine & Spirits: "This combines four varieties from northern Iberia, taking a svelte shape that’s completely different from that of McLaren Vale shiraz. The flavors are gamey and meaty, with a twangy reverb in their smoky spice.
93 pts - James Halliday: “Aromas of licorice, spice and caramelized apple hit before your nose has reached the glass, offering a carpet for the black and red cherry flavors of the palate to walk to their own end in a few sweet seconds.”
90 pts - Robert Parker Wine Advocate: “Spicy and tannic, the 2014 The Sticks and Stones Tempranillo-Grenache-Souzao-Tinta Cao is full-bodied and concentrated. Deeply purple in hue, it’s packed with dark fruit notes and dried spices, with some easier notes of mocha on the finish.”
